How many years of sales experience did you have prior to working for SHC?
Over 30 years sales experience. The best part of SHC is that our products are not affected by the economy, which in today's economy, I see this as a tremendous blessing of financial and career security.

What was the most difficult part of your learning curve with SHC?
Like so many new consultants with a lot of sales experience, the most difficult issue for me during my learning curve was overcoming the tendency to jump into a "sales mode" based on my years and years of sales experience. For years, I had been trained to recognize closing signs and jump on the opportunity to close the sale. It took me some time to learn the 30K presentation, but it took me longer to learn to trust the 30K presentation. Done correctly, the presentation truly educates the client to the point they realize I am helping them eliminate financial risks and protecting them, rather than simply trying to "sell" them on something. Seniors do not buy our healthcare products by being "sold", rather they respond far more positively to education and repetition of benefits and risks, thereby allowing them to sell themselves versus us selling them. After field training, I finally realized this and began to present our products in this fashion. This caused my production to significantly increase, my policy retention to improve, and my income to become much greater (not to mention my 1st year renewal monthly income!).
