A new consultant trainee can begin personal sales production in as soon as 1 week or less. Once licensed, it usually takes less than 48 hours to become appointed with our carriers, assuming you have a clean background.

If non-licensed, it will usually take about 2 weeks from the day of contracting. A new consultant must first take a pre-license class and pass their state's Life and Health examination (which takes about one to two weeks depending on the state). The first phase of SHC training begins on a Monday and ends on a Wednesday and is held at SHC's Corporate Headquarters in Dallas, Texas.

To complete company-certification as a Medicare Consultant, all new consultants must attend this Monday through Wednesday live BCU (Base Consultant University) training. In some cases (based on Team Leader requirements) a new consultant may be required to ride in the field with a field trainer for at least one full day observing the trainer run his/her preset sales appointments. A newly trained and certified consultant can begin personal sales production on preset appointments by Friday of that week, assuming they have received their state insurance license and been appointed by our carrier(s), as well as completed all of their online SHC database registration.

All consultants are required to attend a weekly sales meeting via web-conference every Monday morning from 9AM - 11AM, Central Time.
