It literally costs us over $800 per week to put a consultant to work with our appointments. We have a research division whose only job is to find our customer. We do this based on age 65 and older, and income level greater than $15,000 a year as claimed on their last census. We have a call center that filters that amount of prospects down to those customers that have lost and/or are losing coverage by choice. Our call center then sets the initial appointment with the customer the day before we send the consultant out. The appointment is then called back within the hour to confirm that they are indeed interested, understand who you are and why you are coming to see them, the appointment time is confirmed, and they are instructed that it is at that time the customer must make a decision as to whether or not they want to purchase the product.
